Boost is led by Lancashire County Council and the Lancashire LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership). Funding is provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and Lancashire County Council.

Boost is a driving force of the Lancashire economy and has supported over 8,000 businesses, helped create over 3,000 jobs while adding over £100m to the economy since it launched.

The role of Boost is to help Lancashire businesses take their company to the next level.

About our funding:

In December 2018, Boost secured £6m of new funding to run for a further three years from January 2019.

Boost has received £3.65m of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for ERDF. Established by the European Union, ERDF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.
